Since we had one nice week of weather here in Alabama, I am ready to switch over my closet. Which means it’s time to try and purge the old and make a list of my wants for the new year. The bad thing is I really struggle with the purge part and my closet is really starting show that as my husband has the tiniest section for all of his stuff (sorry hun). Good for y’all though, failing to clean out old clothes has never stopped me from finding new pieces that I think I really need.
item 1: spring knits
This spring I want to bring more light knitwear into my collection. I have been lacking in this area which is a shame considering the weather here can’t make up its mind for most of spring. I have absolutely been obsessed with this dress since I found it. It can be worn two different ways and comes in 3 color ways and so many sizes. I think this just might be my next purchase.
item 2: big ol’ Sandals
I am a sucker for chunky sandal, good mule and a wedge for spring. These wedges from Steve Madden remind me of the shoes my mom used to wear in the early 2000s and still has a few pairs to this day. It’s a shame we are not the same shoe size. I have had a fixation on the preserved flower jewelry that has been all over my feed lately and these shoes are a perfect more everyday approach to that trend.
item 3: painted bags
While these bags are currently not in the budget, I want one so badly. I absolutely love the idea of having my pups immortalized in such a chic way. I know that the pet portraits are not for everyone which is what makes this bag so great because the Moon Bag itself has such a classic look. However, I think my pups would be adorable painted on this.
item 4: fun pants
I first saw these pants on
during her weekly outfits series on TikTok and I have needed a pair ever since. My husband, boss and parents will definitely tell me that it looks like I’m wearing my pjs but they’ll just have to deal with it. 2025 is all about dressing for comfort without sacrificing personal style. The pups in question:
