Yay, It’s my Birthday week! This weeks round-up is all the items I have been telling myself that I will splurge on as a little gift to me! This week we surprisingly have mostly practical items. Let’s get into it!
item 1: comfy work shoes
Typically I am a boot girl for the winter and early spring as evident by the lack of space on my closet floor. However, this winter I have found myself abandoning the boot and needing a good closed toe shoe that isn’t a sneaker and doesn’t have a heel. While I absolutely love the blue Birkenstock Bostons I know that a more neutral shoe is better suited to my daily wardrobe. These madden girl platform clogs seem like the perfect find and don’t have a hefty price tag.
item 2: sentimental dinnerware
I am longing to replace the magnolia brand dinnerware set I found at the bargin store for me to use in college. While they are neutral and don’t have any flaws outside of change in my personal preference, I found myself wanting the dinnerware set my mom and grandmother had when I was growing up. While I was home for the holidays I made sure to find out the name of the collection and do a little digging. While it will most likely end up being a piece-mill order from the likes of Ebay, Etsy, and Replacements.com to get a full set, I am looking forward to tackling this in the near future.
item 3: beautiful scents
I am going to be real with you, I’m not a huge perfume gal. I do love how perfume bottles look but have never been able to justify spending so much on a bottle. The last perfume I bought for myself was the Gucci Memoire and I loved the smell but could not talk myself into buying it again. The notes of the desertland scent from Orbie sound like they would smell so delightful. I might just give this one a try.
item 4: jewelry case
I am constantly taking my jewelry off around my house so getting ready is like a scavenger hunt. You can usually find my wedding rings on top of the coffee maker, earrings on the media cabinet, and don’t forget the Tiffany in the sock drawer. Needless to say, I really need a place to put all of my stuff. I have seen Chelsey Brown’s Keepsake Case on TikTok for a while now and I love that is more than just a jewelry box. The idea of keeping all of my keepsakes together is perfect for those of us who have odds and ends scattered about.
